FIRE PROTECTION IN MIWORTH
In 2024, at the request of the Emergency Planning Committee, the Miworth Community Association submitted a request to the Regional District to look into fire protection for Miworth. In the Fall of 2024 the Emergency Planning Committee and the President of the Miworth Community Association met with representatives from the Regional District and three options for fire protection were discussed. The Regional District can only do a feasibility study on one option so we need to determine which of the three options, if any, has the highest level of support from the community.
To that end the Miworth Emergency Planning Committee will be presenting these three options at in person meetings at the Community Hall and through Zoom meetings this Fall, in an effort to get the information out and receive feedback from as many Miworthians as possible, in order to be able to provide to the Regional District by the end of the year which option has the highest level of support from the community.
