FIRE PROTECTION IN MIWORTH
In 2024, at the request of the Emergency Planning Committee, the Miworth Community Association submitted a request to the Regional District to look into fire protection for Miworth. In the Fall of 2024 the Emergency Planning Committee and the President of the Miworth Community Association met with representatives from the Regional District and three options for fire protection were discussed. The Regional District can only do a feasibility study on one option so we need to determine which of the three options, if any, has the highest level of support from the community.
To that end the Miworth Emergency Planning Committee carried out consultation with the community via a number of presentations in various forms and conducted an anonymous survey. The results have been submitted to the Regional District requesting a feasibility study be done on a Satellite Fire Protection Taxable Service in Miworth.
