COOPERATIVE COMMUNITY WILDFIRE RESPONSE

Is an initiative led by the BC Wildfire Service to understand existing wildfire response capacity in rural and remote communities. Solutions, or pathways to cooperation, are being explored in collaboration with community response societies, local governments and emergency response agencies.

To date, this work has focused on the most high-risk communities outside of fire protection areas.

The MCA is the community response society.
